Hi, I'm Jae Yel Lee and grew up in South Korea. I received BS and MS degree of Materials Science and Engineering from Seoul National University. I received my PhD from UIUC advised by Pascal Bellon and Robert S Averback and studied irradiation induced nanoprecipitation in Cu and Ni alloys. Now I'm characterizing Nb_3Sn coating on Nb of superconducting radio-frequency (SRF) cavity for particle accelerator application advised by Sam Posen and David Seidman. I have my wife (Jiyoung Lee) and two babies (Jinyoung Anna Lee and Eunho David Lee).
