I am a third year graduate student co-advised by Dr. David Seidman and Dr. Amanda Petford-Long at Argonne National Laboratory. My research is centered on the correlation between microstructure and transport properties in magnetic tunnel junction structures. In particular I am interested in understanding the role of annealing on the local chemistry in MgO-based tunnel junctions and its affect on magnetotransport across the barrier.
In addition, in collaboration with researchers at Argonne National Laboratory and Seagate Technology I am involved in the investigation of the quasi-static and dynamic behavior of the magnetization in exchange-biased, patterned magnetic structures.
